i absolutely love dance parties. my favorite fiesta music is usually edm, 90s r&b/hip hop, motown/funk, or disco. so, you can imagine my excitement when i hear of a motown-themed one being dj'ed by one of T's oldest friends held at the newly opened, powerhouse.
if you haven't been, powerhouse is nestled in okc's farmers market in what used to be an art gallery with southwestern charm. not only did their renovations help bring out the natural flair of the building but, open up their patio to the views of downtown. with their craft cocktails, snacks, and funky atmosphere, i am a huge fan.

this seriously was one of the best dance parties i've ever been to! between the mini dance-off (i won) with one of my old friends, the conga line formed on "love train", the hilarious dance-handshake jana and i made up, and the great crowd joining in, it was so, so fun.
