tree hunting and igloos

this past sunday, l&a came with T and i to pick christmas trees. picking a live tree has been a tradition in my family (passed down from my sweet northern dad) and i have to admit, it doesn't feel like christmas until we go pick one out. plus, i love coming home to the smell of fresh pine.

[thinking hard about which tree to choose]

while the snow made our tree hunt extra magical, my hands and feet were freezing. so i stuck close to this little smokestack to keep warm...

[l&a with their first tree together. aren't they sweet?]

from there, we ventured over to see the weekly selection of local shops featured in okc popup shops' igloos...

[laun, could you be more photogenic?]

where we picked up a few local gems from birdie, collected thread, stash, plenty mercantile, and chirps & cheers. if you're in the okc area, please make sure to stop by the popup shops and/or pick up a tree. we had such a great time and it was the perfect thing to get us in the holiday spirit!
